Did you know that living in a state of gratitude makes your life better? I love November, because with Thanksgiving being right around the corner, I am always reminded to count my blessings. One of the greatest blessings in my life is getting to teach yoga to children.
This year, I have incorporated gratitude into each class, we either say something we are thankful for at the beginning of class or the kids draw or write 3 things they are thankful for in their yoga journals. Did you know that studies show that people who write down 3-5 things they are thankful at the beginning or end of each day are actually happier people? Give it a try this month!
I love that November provides us this chance to remember to develop greater gratitude in our lives and that it comes right before Christmas rolls around. If we fill up our gratitude cup, it makes the Christmas holiday even more about gratefully giving, rather than receiving.
I am so thankful to be continuously offering kids yoga classes throughout Evergreen, and I’d love to see your kiddos in the final session of yoga this fall or at one of the Thanksgiving camps.
